SLEP, the Latin American Society for Pediatric Endocrinology was founded in 1986 under the leadership of César Bergadá. The society’s main goal is to integrate Pediatric Endocrinologists, Endocrine Biochemists, Pediatrics, Endocrinologists or professionals from similar areas for the development of pediatric endocrinology in Latin America
For this purpose, we have assumed the commitment to update academic content and offer support to their careers, offering a “training member” category.
SLEP’s main activity is its Annual Meeting where participants have the opportunity to present and discuss their research and where renown speakers around the world are invited to give lectures. The Continuing Medical Education includes a Summer School before the Annual Meeting.
SLEP is a ICPE's Member and works with their common aim to provide a united international 'Advocacy Voice' for pediatric endocrinology and diabetes. ICPE members meet twice a year to progress the overall activities and objectives of the Consortium and ensure a collaborative and global approach to pediatric endocrinology.
