How to become a SLEP Member


Dear friends of SLEP,

SLEP invites all health professionals (physicians, biochemists, biologists, etc.) who have demonstrated active work and continue to be active in the field of Paediatric Endocrinology in broad terms, including Diabetes and Metabolism, and who are interested in this area, to join.

The Membership Committee (members@slep-endocrino.com) will evaluate the applicant's qualifications and provide feedback within three periods during the year. Final acceptance takes place during the Annual Members' Meeting.


To become a member, the applicant must submit an application for membership, supported by a letter of recommendation from an Active Member of the Society and meet at least one of the following requirements:

  1. Hold a specialist degree (board certification) in Pediatric Endocrinology, Endocrinology, or Endocrine Biochemistry. If there is no specialist degree, the applicant must demonstrate experience in the field of Pediatric Endocrinology, Endocrinology, or Endocrine Biochemistry.
  2. Hold a doctorate, master's degree, or an equivalent qualification in areas related to Pediatric Endocrinology.
  3. Have published at least one paper related to Pediatric Endocrinology in an international peer-reviewed indexed journal as the main author or co-author.

Poderão ser Sócios no Treinamento, todos aqueles profissionais de países da América Latina, que estão fazendo um treinamento, formação ou capacitação no campo da endocrinologia pediátrica ou disciplinas afins.

  1. Enviar seu pedido de admissão, garantido por uma acarta de recomendação de um Membro Ativo da Sociedade.
  2. Certificar sua qualidade de profissional “no treinamento”, por exemplo, anexando atestado estendido pelo chefe do serviço onde cursa a residência ou o diretor do curso de pós-graduação ou o supervisor do trabalho de doutorado ou mestrado. Será exigido um mínimo de um ano em treinamento, antes de entrar na sociedade.
  3. Ser aceito pela Diretoria e referendado pela maioria (50 % mais um) dos presentes na Assembleia da Sociedade.
