In order to promote the development of future leaders in Pediatric Endocrinology in all countries of the region, the selection criteria for participants will be selected following this distribution:
- 10 applicants will be selected in strict order of merit (based on CV analysis)
- 3 applicants from countries not represented in the previous group (based on CV analysis).
- 2 of the applicants for non-medical health professionals working in pediatric endocrinology.
SLEP Summer School provides intensive theoretical and practical training for young professionals in the area of pediatric endocrinology to enhance their development in SLEP countries.
It is an intensive three-day course that includes lectures by experts in different topics of pediatric clinical endocrinology and presentation and discussion of clinical cases by selected participants.
The Summer School promotes a strong interaction between young professionals and experts. ALL THESE ACTIVITIES WILL USE ENGLISH AS THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE.
Information to be considered:
- The Summer School will be held in Santiago, Chile from September 09-11.
- The activity is fully supported by SLEP.
- Flight tickets to and from Santiago, Chile, ground transportation, accommodations and meals during the SLEP Summer School will be provided to the selected participants for free.
- Free registration to the SLEP 2024 Meeting will also be offered.
- Participants will be selected from among the applicants based on the criteria listed.
- Each selected fellow agrees to prepare and present a clinical case under the mentorship of a designated tutor.
The requirements to apply for a fellowship and participate in the SLEP Summer School are:
- Be a professional in the area of Pediatric Endocrinology based in Latin America.
- Age must not exceed 40 years old as of December 31, 2024.
- Not having previously participated in another Summer School
- Send the registration form to Summr School 2024 before April 15, 2024 00:00hs (UTC-03).
- Fluent written and spoken English skills.
