OVERVIEW OF ACTIVITIES (representative photos are shown below)
Prior activity: 15 fellows and young doctors working in Pediatric Endocrinology were
selected by the Continuous Education Committee of SLEP 2018. Each student was assigned a
professor for the preparation of a clinical case that would be presented at the Summer
School event.
During the event:
On the night before the event a welcome dinner was held for the professors and the
president of SLEP 2018, Dr. Ruth Bindels. This event took place in the hotel restaurant.
The next day, professors and fellows received a welcome lunch at the hotel and immediately
the conferences and presentations started at the auditorium. During the 3 days, each
professor gave a 50 minutes lecture of a topic of its expertise and interest and discuss with
students and participants.
Each of the fellows had 45 minutes to discuss a clinical case that included a brief
presentation of the pathology and a brief summary of the patient, ending with a 15 – 20
minutes discussion with the rest of the fellows.
All the meals were provided in the hotel restaurant with the exception of the farewell dinner
that was held at the restaurant "La Dama Juana" in the neighborhood Barranco.
